Nature's Intention is continuing its commitment to a greener and more conscious community by participating in Earth Hour 2009. In 2008, millions of people over in over 30 countries switched off their lights for World Wildlife Fund's (WWF) Earth Hours initiative. In Canada, almost 10 million Canadians participated in more that 150 cities across the country. On Saturday March 28, 2009, at 8:30pm across the world unit and switch off their lights for Earth Hour.
I encourage you to participate in Earth Hour at your home. You can assist to build a smarter planet by committing to reduce your phantom power load by shutting down your sources of power consumption within your home prior to 8:30pm on Saturday. This means turning off, not just putting in stand-by mode, all of your non-essential devices such as computers, monitors, TVs, and unplugging devices that still use energy while they are plugged in such as cell phone chargers.
And remember, lights out the evening of March 28 . . . for the good of us all.
